God Stamps

I recently reunited with a dear friend whose wife died of recurring breast cancer. At her memorial service, he shared events from their lives and introduced me to a new term - God Stamp. A God Stamp is when the Lord very obviously places his hand on a person's life to confirm his direction, presence, guidance, love, and/or grace.

He told a great story of how God placed a unique stamp on his life and you can read about it by clicking here. I am fascinated by the ways that God chooses to touch our lives. I had a conversation with another friend this week about times when God miraculously provided for our family financially. Not being someone who normally goes in for that sort of thing, he was a bit skeptical, but I sensed him opening up as the conversation progressed.

There is simply no substitution for the feeling of inspiration that comes from hearing someone else's God stories. There's nothing like telling them either.

Gathering Is A Success

The first Storytellers Gathering was last night and it was awesome! There were 10 people, great conversation, and some pretty good food. It was decided that the Gathering will meet weekly, so the next one is this Sunday, January 17, 2010. Food is at 5 pm with Bible study from 6-7 pm. This will be the first week of our study on the fruit of the spirit - we will be discussing love.

As always, you are welcome to join in. All I ask is that you let me know ahead of time so that I can plan for enough food. See you Sunday!

It's finally here! The first Storytellers Gathering will be held at my house this Sunday.

I'm cooking! Food will be served at 5 pm and Bible Study will be from 6-7 pm.

I will be sharing all that Sound of the Trumpet Ministries has planned for 2010 and I would love for you to join in as we work to impact our community with the love of Christ. The goal of this gathering will be to assemble a group of people who can "do life together" as we grow and mature in our faith.
